Terms of service

This site is operated by Best Known Brand, a brand consultancy based in South Carolina, United States. In this document “we” and “us” mean Best Known Brand, and “you” means the person or business buying from us.

We sell two things and they are described on this site.

The AI Visibility Build is a one time engagement at $4,500. We design or rebuild your website, do the work that lets search engines and AI assistants describe you correctly, set up and optimise your Google Business Profile, and train you personally on Claude. What we build is yours to keep whether or not you continue with us.

AI Visibility Managed includes everything in the Build and then runs it every month, at $4,500 per month on a 12 month engagement. That adds ongoing search and answer engine work, weekly Google Business Profile management, review generation and responses, lead follow up automation, database reactivation, and a report every month including the months when nothing moved.

Anything not described on this site or in a written scope we have both agreed is not included.

This clause is the important one and it says the same thing the rest of the site says.

We do not guarantee any ranking position, any placement in a Google Knowledge Panel, any citation by any AI assistant, any volume of leads, any revenue, or any timeline for any of those. We cannot, because every one of them is decided by somebody who is not us: Google, the AI providers, and the people who might hire you.

What we commit to is the work itself. We will do what is described above, to a professional standard, and we will report on it honestly including when results are flat.

If anyone tells you a specific ranking or a Knowledge Panel can be promised by a date, that person is either mistaken or selling you something they cannot deliver.

The work depends on access and on responses. That usually means administrative access to your domain, your website, your Google Business Profile and your review platforms, plus your time for the training session and for approving what we publish under your name.

If we cannot get access or cannot get a decision, the work stops where it stops. We will tell you when that happens rather than quietly billing through it.

You are responsible for the accuracy of anything you give us to publish, and for holding whatever licences your industry requires.

Payments are taken by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details. Stripe processes the payment and holds that data under its own terms.

The Build is payable in full before work begins unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Managed is billed monthly in advance on the anniversary of your first payment.

Prices on this site are in United States dollars and exclude any tax that applies to you.

The Build is a one time engagement and ends when the work is delivered.

Managed runs for 12 months. You may cancel at any time with 30 days written notice to brett@bestknownbrand.com. Cancelling stops future billing. It does not refund months already worked, because the work in those months has already been done.

We may end an engagement, with notice and a refund of any unused prepaid month, if we cannot get the access the work needs, if we are asked to publish something we believe to be false or unlawful, or if the relationship has stopped being a working one.

You own your website, your domain, your content, your customer records and your contacts. That is true during the engagement and it stays true after it ends.

If you leave, we hand over what we hold and we do not hold your work hostage to a final invoice.

We keep ownership of our own methods, templates and internal tools, and of anything we build for general use rather than for you specifically. Where a third party licence covers something in your build, such as a font or a purchased template, that licence governs it.

Delivering this work means using services we do not control. Depending on what you buy, that list includes Google, Stripe, Anthropic, GoHighLevel, and the company hosting your website.

Each of those has its own terms and its own privacy practices, and each can change its product, its pricing or its rules without asking us. Where one of them breaks something, we will tell you and we will work around it if a way exists. We are not liable for their decisions.

We treat what you tell us about your business as confidential and we do not share it except where we need to in order to do the work or where the law requires it.

We will not publish your name, your logo or your results as a case study without asking you first and getting a yes. Where a case study on this site involves a business connected to us, that connection is disclosed on the page.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Beyond that, our total liability to you for any claim connected to this work is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for lost profits, lost business, or losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.

These terms are governed by the law of the State of South Carolina, and disputes go to the courts there.

We may update this document. When we do we will change the date at the top and, for anything that materially affects an active engagement, we will tell you directly rather than relying on you noticing.
